Welcome to the website of the Jayess Newbiggin brass band.

Situated on the north east coast of England in the glorious county of Northumberland Newbiggin has long been associated with varied musical traditions. Its brass banding traditions have been documented before 1910, promoting musical excellence and tradition that has nurtured many top instrumentalist who have performed on the world stage, no more so than the legendary cornet player James Shepherd.

The band is proud to bear his name jayess, and introduce him as our president
